Why its Na Yin is called 沙中土, from 「论纳音取象」
气以承阳，发生已过，成齐未来
Its qi receives the yang: growth is past and completion has not yet come. The chapter adds that sand earth is the moistest of all earths.

Is 丁巳 a good or bad pillar?
Not on its own; that depends on the whole chart, which this site does not read. Structurally, Ding is rooted in 巳, which clashes with 亥 and combines with 申.
What is the Na Yin of Ding Si?
