丁未 is pillar 44 of the sixty: the yin fire stem 丁 Ding over the Goat branch 未 Wei. The last 丁未 year was 1967 and the next is 2027; the next 丁未 day is Nov 29, 2026. The San Ming Tong Hui gives it the image of the light of fire, and it shares the Na Yin Heavenly River Water (天河水) with 丙午.

丁未……火光也
丁未: the light of fire.
Why its Na Yin is called 天河水, from 「论纳音取象」
在高明火位,有水沛然作霖…惟天上乃有
In the high, bright place of fire, water pours down as rain, such as is found only in the sky.

FAQ
Is 丁未 a good or bad pillar?
Not on its own; that depends on the whole chart, which this site does not read. Structurally, Ding is rooted in 未, which clashes with 丑 and combines with 午.
What is the Na Yin of Ding Wei?
Heavenly River Water (天河水), which Ding Wei shares with 丙午 Bing Wu; the Na Yin names go in pairs, 30 for the 60 pillars. The San Ming Tong Hui explains how the name was chosen in its 论纳音取象 section, quoted above.
Which years are Ding Wei (丁未) years?
Between 1900 and 2100: 1907, 1967, 2027, 2087. Each starts at Lichun, around February 4, not on January 1. Under the Chinese New Year rule the same years are the Year of the Yin Fire Goat.
