己卯 is pillar 16 of the sixty: the yin earth stem 己 Ji over the Rabbit branch 卯 Mao. The last 己卯 year was 1999 and the next is 2059; the next 己卯 day is Nov 1, 2026. The San Ming Tong Hui gives it the image of broken dikes and ruined walls, and it shares the Na Yin City Wall Earth (城头土) with 戊寅.

Why its Na Yin is called 城头土, from 「论纳音取象」
气能成物,功以育物
Its qi can bring things to completion, and its work is to nurture them; the chapter adds that city-wall earth serves as a rampart, on which rulers rely to found their states and protect their people.

FAQ
Is 己卯 a good or bad pillar?
Not on its own; that depends on the whole chart, which this site does not read. Structurally, Ji has no root in 卯, which clashes with 酉 and combines with 戌.
What is the Na Yin of Ji Mao?
City Wall Earth (城头土), which Ji Mao shares with 戊寅 Wu Yin; the Na Yin names go in pairs, 30 for the 60 pillars. The San Ming Tong Hui explains how the name was chosen in its 论纳音取象 section, quoted above.
Which years are Ji Mao (己卯) years?
Between 1900 and 2100: 1939, 1999, 2059. Each starts at Lichun, around February 4, not on January 1. Under the Chinese New Year rule the same years are the Year of the Yin Earth Rabbit.
