乙酉 is pillar 22 of the sixty: the yin wood stem 乙 Yi over the Rooster branch 酉 You. The last 乙酉 year was 2005 and the next is 2065; the next 乙酉 day is Nov 7, 2026. The San Ming Tong Hui gives it the image of water in a shaded gully, and it shares the Na Yin Spring Water (泉中水) with 甲申.

Why its Na Yin is called 井泉水, from 「论纳音取象」
气息安静,子母同位,出而不穷,汲而不竭
Its qi is calm; mother and child share one place, so it flows without end and cannot be drawn dry. (The San Ming Tong Hui calls this Na Yin 井泉水, well-spring water.)

FAQ
Is 乙酉 a good or bad pillar?
Not on its own; that depends on the whole chart, which this site does not read. Structurally, Yi has no root in 酉, which clashes with 卯 and combines with 辰.
What is the Na Yin of Yi You?
Spring Water (泉中水), which Yi You shares with 甲申 Jia Shen; the Na Yin names go in pairs, 30 for the 60 pillars. The San Ming Tong Hui explains how the name was chosen in its 论纳音取象 section, quoted above.
Which years are Yi You (乙酉) years?
Between 1900 and 2100: 1945, 2005, 2065. Each starts at Lichun, around February 4, not on January 1. Under the Chinese New Year rule the same years are the Year of the Yin Wood Rooster.
