Lunar date
the day of the Pure Brightness solar term
Also called
Tomb-Sweeping Day, Ching Ming
Qingming is set by the sun, not the moon: it is the day of the Pure Brightness solar term, so it falls on April 4, 5 or 6. Families visit and clean ancestors' graves and make offerings.
Because it is a solar term, its date can be a day apart in different time zones; the dates here are China Standard Time.
